ARBOVIX 2025 – I Symposium on Emerging Tropical Arboviruses

Abstract

The I Symposium on Emerging Tropical Arboviruses (ARBOVIX 2025) was held from June 10 to 12, 2025, in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil. The event was conceived in response to the growing public health challenges posed by arboviruses such as dengue, chikungunya, Zika, yellow fever, and the emerging Oropouche virus. With the central theme “Science and Strategies for Arbovirus Surveillance and Control”, ARBOVIX 2025 promoted an interdisciplinary forum integrating scientific research, epidemiological and genomic surveillance, clinical management, vector control, and public health policy. Over three days, the symposium featured keynote lectures, round tables, technical sessions, and poster presentations, fostering dialogue between academia, public health services, and decision-makers, and strengthening collaborative networks for arbovirus preparedness and response.
