Edson Delatorre is a professor at the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES) and a researcher in viral genomics, ecology, and evolution. His scientific interests include viral eco-epidemiology, genomic surveillance, viral diversity and evolution, virus–host interactions, and vector-borne virus monitoring. He is the coordinator of the Laboratory of Genomics and Viral Ecology (LaGEV), where he develops research integrating molecular, computational, and ecological approaches to investigate viral dynamics relevant to public and environmental health.
